How do I extract songs from my iPod?

I restored my computer to factory settings the other day and my songs got erased with it. My iPod still has the songs on it, I downloaded iTunes but I'm afraid that when I sync the songs they will get erased. Is there anyway to get the songs off my iPod? (The songs do not have DRM protection).
