If our ground of being is holy...?

Our ground has the potential to be holy, but often isn't, even though God is within us and within every particle. It's about potential and the manifestation. It's the consciousness that makes for holiness, not the lack of it. Holy is with the Master. When we are in the company of the true master everything that is beautiful about a human being surfaces and gets expressed. In the presence of the master you have the possibility of being taken from darkness and brought to light, your life can be fulfilled and its purpose accomplished. You can be taken from ignorance to knowledge. That will not happen in the presence of a stone, a shrine, in a place of worship or in the presence of a book. Why do you think that through the ages some people loved to be with the Master? The disciples of Jesus didn't run to a statue, they ran to a living Jesus just as some loved to be with the living Buddha. Living. Conscious. Those who remain in darkness cannot reflect what is holy even though the potential is there. A candle has the potential to bring light - but just being a candle doesn't light anything.
