I am looking for a 1950's housewife guide?

know that some of you may not agree with this, so please only answer if you have some helpful positive suggestions. I am not religious, I just want to be the kind of wife who respects her husband and stays home and prepares everything from dinner to the children. I have the opportunity to stay home, and I would like to be the best housewife I can be. So my question is about some kind of guide book that I can read to know how to do all these things. I am an average cook, but I can't sew and I would love to learn how to can and freeze foods. I would also love to learn how to knit. If you can recommend any books or websites that would help me I would appreciate it. Like I stated above I am not religious, so most of what I have come across seems to aline the two. Religion and Old Fashioned homemakers. I am not opposed to God, but I don't want to be inundated by him or the religious points to an 1950's housewife/ Hopefully I have made some sense and you can ist me. Thank you in advance!
