Looking for a book: I can remember that it was about a lil girl falling down a hole do to her mothers planing?

it takes place in TX ( i think) I also remember that the girls name was andromeda. she got possessed by some kind of monster while she in the hole,gets out and leaves the town then comes back when shes older and busts up the town and takes her mother. please help !! would love to read it again
